Types of Massage

Reflexology
An ancient healing therapy that is as blissful as it is beneficial. Reflexology works on the principle that all organs in the body are connected to reflex points in the feet via constantly flowing energy channels. Massaging these reflex points restores your natural energy flow and improves your overall health by sending waves of relaxation throughout the body.

Lymph Drainage
There is a silent system working to keep us healthy - the Lymphatic system. Many minor aches and pains, low energy levels and susceptibility to colds and flu are due to a sluggish Lymphatic system. This specialized massage technique helps to clear body tissues of debris and toxins and promote the circulation of clean lymph. Proper lymph circulation promotes cell regeneration, keeps tissues as healthy and significantly increases immune system function.

Myofascial Release
Tension or trauma in one part of the body can adversely affect another. Manipulation of the fascia, which connects and surrounds muscles, can release the effects of inflammation, tension and trauma by breaking up or releasing constrictions and snags in facial tissue. People with long-standing back pains, fibromyalgia and headaches often receive great benefit from this therapeutic technique.

Shirodhara-Ayurvedic Treatment
'Shirodhara' is composed of two ancient Sanskrit words, shiro and dhara. Shiro means head and dhara means flow. In ayurvedic medicine, the flow of warm oil over the head is known as Shirodhara. This is a very luxurious, relaxing and rejuvenating therapy that gives a healthy glow and radiance to the skin. (Please allow two hours for this special treatment.)

Sport/Deep Tissue
Personalized to focus on your body's areas of tension and stress. Special blends of oils are prepared to penetrate your skin and soothe tired and aching muscles. This treatment is designed to increase flexibility, relieve tightness, improve circulation and speed recovery time.

Swedish
Your body is lightly dry brushed to stimulate the skin, then soothed with warmed aromatherapy oils, creating an overall sensation of wellness. Eastern massage techniques are applied in a series of movements to bring your body and mind into perfect balance.

Hot Stone Therapy
Therapeutic and relaxing, this treatment alleviates stiffness and soreness, while restoring energy and balance. Smooth, warmed stones glide across your body in long, flowing strokes. The stones' heat relaxes the muscles and provides a soothing effect on your body's energy points, deeply infusing you with warmth and melting away tension.

CranioSacral Therapy
Used to detect and correct imbalances in the craniosacral system, which may be the cause of sensory, motor or intellectual dysfunction. This therapy has been successfully used to treat headaches, neck, and back pain, TMJ, chronic fatigue, motor coordination difficulties, eye problems and central nervous system disorders.

Custom-Designed Massage
An individually tailored combination of massage therapy techniques and treatments, suited to your individual preference and physical needs.
